The Afghan Music Night is a registered, well-known, and officially recognized cultural program in Austria. It has been held annually in Vienna since 2013 to introduce our younger generation and the Austrian community to the rich Afghan culture, to strengthen national unity, and to promote solidarity among different ethnic groups.
This event has been adorned with musical performances by many well-known and beloved Afghan singers and bands, both from inside and outside Afghanistan, including Nabi Delnawaz, Hafiz Karwandgar, DJ Balkh, Elaha Soroor, Hamid Taban, Haroon Andishwar, Narges Sarila, Zabih Salimi, Esmat Alami, Ali Haidari, and other talented artists.
The program includes entertaining and engaging activities such as sports shows, comedy, poetry and literature, performances with traditional Afghan instruments, traditional fashion presentations by our modeling team, and the serving of delicious Afghan cuisine. Due to its engaging content and family-friendly atmosphere, the event welcomes over 500 guests each year, including Afghan and Austrian attendees, embassy officials, and distinguished Afghan personalities living in Austria.
Every year, the program also recognizes and honors prominent community members, pioneers, successful athletes, artists, and young talents with awards. One of the notable achievements was the fundraising initiative during the 2015 program to support the treatment of Afghan drug addicts. The collected donations were presented to Ms. Laila Haidari, the founder of the “Mother Camp,” in appreciation of her humanitarian work in Afghanistan.
