Statute of Katib Cultural and Sports Association
Article 1
Objectives
1. To establish cultural relations and exchange of values with Austrian communities.
2. To preserve and promote national traditions and values and introduce them to other communities in Austria.
3. To prevent and reduce cultural, religious, and racial conflicts, and to combat discrimination against women.
4. To familiarize the young generation with their culture and mother tongue.
5. To cooperate with organizations working on the integration of refugees into Austrian society.
6. To assist poor and needy people, students, and pupils in Afghanistan.
Article 2
Organizational Structure
The Katib Cultural and Sports Association consists of the following bodies:
Executive Committee
1. The Executive Committee is the highest decision-making authority and leads all activities of the Association.
2. Important decisions are made by this committee, which is responsible for planning and executing all activities.
Members of the Executive Committee include:
• Executive Director
• Cultural Director
• Sports Director
• Financial Director
• Women’s Affairs Director
• Social and Political Director
General Assembly
The General Assembly consists of all official members (both men and women) aged 18 and above, each having the right to vote and express opinions.
Article 3
Membership
1. The membership fee must be paid annually in advance.
2. Applicants are informed of the Association’s rules and must sign a commitment to abide by them.
3. If a member wishes to cancel their membership, the paid fee is non-refundable.
4. For applicants under 18, the membership form must be signed by a parent.
5. A person becomes an official member after filling and signing the membership form.
6. Members must renew their membership annually by paying the new fee. Failure to pay will automatically cancel membership.
Article 4
Rules and Working Procedures
1. The first communication channel for members is by phone.
2. The Association has its own logo and official website, serving as an information source.
3. Katib Cultural and Sports Association is officially registered and active in Vienna, Austria.
Article 5
Duties and Responsibilities
1. The Executive Director represents and speaks on behalf of the Association.
2. Cultural Director
3. Sports Director
4. Financial Director — responsible for collecting fees, managing income and expenses, preparing annual financial reports, and presenting them to members.
5. Social and Political Director
6. Women’s Affairs Director
Article 6
Activities
Katib Cultural and Sports Association believes that better living in a new society depends on:
– Speaking the language of the society.
– Understanding the culture, history, and lifestyle of the host country.
– Understanding one’s own culture and promoting cultural exchange.
– Respecting national and international standards.
– Acting responsibly toward the host society.
The Association organizes cultural events, seminars, music programs, and sports tournaments (e.g., volleyball, football), as well as language and computer courses.
Article 7
1. Every member (male or female) over 18 may run for any position within the Association.
2. The General Assembly is held once a year, and the election of the Executive Committee takes place during it.
3. All members are free to express opinions and suggestions respectfully.
4. The Statute may be reviewed or modified by the Executive Committee.
5. In case of dissolution, the Association will officially inform the relevant authorities.
