Our Mission
The Katib Cultural and Sports Association strives to promote education, cultural understanding, and social harmony among Afghans and other communities in Austria.
Through various cultural, educational, and sports programs, we aim to strengthen cooperation, mutual respect, and community integration.
Our Activities Include:
- Persian language and culture classes
- German and mathematics courses
- Sewing and tailoring workshops
- Employment market workshops (in cooperation with AMS and WKO)
- giving food for indeed people in rural part of Afghanistan.
- Honoring athletes and organizing tournaments in football, basketball, volleyball, karate, taekwondo, cycling, and swimming.
- The association also introduces athletes to the community and related sports organizations
- Political education programs for youth and visits to the Austrian Parliament
- Cultural events such as the Swiss Garden Festival and SPÖ Carnival participation
These activities aim not only to represent the Afghan community but also to build bridges with other nationalities — fostering empathy and coexistence.
We believe that in a multicultural society, people should grow beyond ethnic and national boundaries.
