The Katib Cultural and Sports Association was established in 2010 with the aim of promoting unity among Afghans and supporting cooperation and social harmony.
Since its foundation, the association has been committed to serving the community through a variety of cultural, educational, and sports activities.
Among our earliest activities were the organization of native (Dari) and German language classes.
We have since held several seminars and conferences, including the Conference on Eliminating Violence.
Our goal has always been to present creative and innovative programs, such as music evenings and the publication of our magazine Roozaneh, which is now in its 14th issue.
We also held the first award ceremony for Afghan artists and athletes in 2017, honoring more than 74 medal-winning talents.
Our sports teams — karate, football, and volleyball — have represented the Afghan community in international tournaments.
We aim to introduce young Afghan athletes and artists to the broader society, encourage public participation, and promote positive social engagement.
Some of our ongoing and upcoming projects include:
- Hosting the 30th Futsal Tournament in January 2017
- Celebrating Nowruz every year on March 20 or 21
- Publishing the 13th issue of Roozaneh magazine
- Organizing summer football and volleyball tournaments
